Investment & programs

How much do your board & train programs cost?

Our Board & Train programs range from $4,000 to $7,000, depending on your dog’s goals, behavior, and training needs. During your consultation, we’ll recommend the program that’s best for your dog—not sell you something you don’t need.

Which program is right for my dog?

We’ll learn about your dog, their behavior, and your training goals before recommending a program. Our recommendation is always based on what’s best for your dog.

Do you offer payment plans or financing?

Yes. We offer flexible payment options to make training more manageable. Your program can be divided into scheduled payments, and we accept all major credit cards.

Results & training

Will my dog really listen when they come home?

Yes. We train both you and your dog. During your send-home lesson, we’ll teach you how to maintain the training and provide lifetime support so you continue seeing results long after your dog comes home.

What if my dog is aggressive or reactive?

Many dogs come to us for reactivity and aggression. Every dog is evaluated individually, and if we believe we can safely help, we’ll create a customized training plan based on your dog’s specific needs.

What if my dog has separation anxiety?

Separation anxiety varies in severity. During your consultation, we’ll discuss your dog’s history and determine whether our program is the right fit.

Can older dogs still learn?

Absolutely. Dogs can learn at any age. Older dogs may take a little longer, but with the right structure and consistency, they can make incredible progress.

Our home-based approach

Why do dogs stay in your home instead of a kennel?

Your dog lives in our home and becomes part of our daily routine. Crates are used for rest, safety, and structure, but most of the day is spent learning, training, and experiencing real-life situations both at home and in public. This creates a smoother transition and longer-lasting results.

How many dogs do you train at one time?

We intentionally limit the number of dogs we accept so every dog receives the time, attention, and individualized training they deserve.

Will I get updates during my dog's training?

Yes. You’ll receive regular photo and video updates so you can follow your dog’s progress throughout their stay.

Before & during training

What should I bring when dropping my dog off?

We’ll send you a detailed checklist before drop-off. Typically, it includes your dog’s food, medications (if needed), vaccination records, and any approved items we’ve discussed.

Can my dog stay with you if they’re not crate trained?

Yes. Many dogs aren’t crate trained when they arrive. Teaching dogs to be calm and comfortable in a crate is an important part of building structure and confidence.

Will my dog interact with other dogs?

Yes, when appropriate. Socialization is carefully managed based on your dog’s temperament, training goals, and safety.

Can my family visit during training?

To keep your dog focused and consistent, we generally don’t encourage visits during the program. We’ll keep you updated with regular photos and videos instead.

What vaccinations are required?

All dogs must be current on their required vaccinations. We’ll provide a complete list once your application is approved.

What happens if my dog gets sick or has an emergency?

Your dog’s health is our top priority. If your dog becomes ill or has an emergency, we’ll contact you immediately and seek veterinary care as needed.

Travel & logistics

Do I have to bring my dog to you?

Not necessarily. For an additional fee, our professional driver can pick your dog up from your home and safely transport them to us.

Can I fly my dog to Caliber K9?

Absolutely. We regularly train dogs from across the United States and will guide you through the travel process to make it as smooth as possible.

How does airport pickup and drop off work?

We’ll coordinate all the travel details with you to ensure a safe, smooth, and stress-free airport pickup and drop-off.

Do you work with clients outside of Texas?

Yes. Many of our clients travel from outside Texas because they want the personalized, home-based experience we provide. Whether you’re driving or flying, we’ll make the process simple.

After training & support

What happens after I pick my dog up?

We’ll walk you through everything you need to know to maintain your dog’s training at home. You’ll leave confident and equipped with the tools to continue your dog’s success.

Do you offer lifetime support?

Yes. You’ll have lifetime access to follow-up sessions, phone calls, virtual coaching, and ongoing support whenever you need it.

How do I know if Caliber K9 is the right fit for my dog?
